When you are interested in remodeling your home- we schedule a measure. This means an Emond Brothers Rep. will come out to your property and take measurements to provide a more accurate estimate.
After we measure your space- it will take our designers 1-2 weeks to put together an estimate for you.
Estimates are a rough idea of price. They are not legally binding. Our estimates can go up or down depending on your final selections.
At Emond Design Center, we are taking all the necessary steps to protect our staff and clients during this difficult time. We have been classified as “essential” and are open for business with a few temporary changes. Our Showroom is closed to the public except for scheduled appointments and we are operating with limited staff
Our installation team is operating as normal. All of our team members that come in contact with clients or clients’ homes are taking precautions including wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, and wearing shoe coverings. If our team is currently working on a project in your home, we will do our best to separate the work area from the rest of the house to minimize risk. This includes keeping doors closed and putting up plastic sheets between rooms.
A lot of people simply do not have the funds available to remodel a room in their home. In this case, you may contact a bank or mortgage company about getting a home equity loan or home equity line of credit. Basically, you are taking out a loan on the equity in your property. How much equity do you have? Say you owe $200,000 on your property and the current market value is $300,000. You then have $100,000 in equity.
Of course, you need to check with your bank. They will most likely want to do an appraisal etc. You could also contact a trusted real estate agent who knows the market well.
If you are buying a property that needs a remodel, there are loans that are designed to give you the funds to do so right from the loan itself. Not every lender offers these loans, so look around and do some research.
When you remodel a room in your home- you may not care about how it affects the value of the property because you don't plan on ever selling it. However, most people want to know that their investment into the property is going to be maintained in the future. This means that you aren't going to put more money into it than you would ever get out of it.
You can contact a trusted real estate agent and gather statistics about sales in your area- and look for properties that are similar to your home before and after a remodel. The difference will give you an idea of how much value a remodel can add. However, this information isn't 100% accurate - every house is unique and property values usually go up every year.
